February 11 - page 2 - O'Connor's for lunch.....Brendan O'Connor with Mom and Dad...
Don't they all look so handsome and happy? It was about 50/55 degrees here today..the ice was melting...yippeee. Brendan was actually on the roof of O'Connor's helping get the ice off. It was so fabulous to feel warm outside. Had a wonderful lunch at Brendan's restaurant. Of course, anyone who goes there knows the food is "delicious"!!! We had quiche and the Dingle Pie (now called Atlantic seafood pie). Brendan said he's going to Ireland for Easter Nick....he told me to let you know. They'll be over for the holiday in April. We had a really "great" day!! Dad was telling me how he was going to do the "Morning service" today at St. Joseph's...but Fr. Bob ended up having the new priest handle it...so Dad will be giving the homily at Thursday's service. He then changed his "homily" to include President Abraham's 200th birthday celebration - February 12.....I admire the way Dad puts so much thought into his services. I'm sitting here watching a new WGBH special on Lincoln...it's a really informative/interesting program on (I think) our greatest president ever. Happy Birthday Abraham Lincoln!!!
